1920's

The 1920's was a time of partying and spending, and that was no different in the Great Gatsby. The 20's was right after the war and people wanted to spend the money the have saved for the war efforts. After the war people just wanted to go back to their normal everyday living. They were excited to finally but away their troubles and return to the good old days. After the short recession was over the 20's, gave people shorter work weeks and extra money, which finally gave Americans a time to relax.Like in the Great Gatsby most people spent their free time at luxurious parties such as Gatsby's, where the had no limitations or restraints. Life in the 1920's was amazing for mostly everyone.

In Gatsby the boom of the economic rise made things Gatsby didn't have before the war possible now. Gatsby money that he inherited was lost and when he returned from the war in the 20's, the economy was great and he was able to prosper in his so called "unknown" business. The 1920's made things that were not possible before a given necessity.
